aTemporal closes a successful first half of the year with more than 720 apartments under management and expects a record year-end.

The city of Barcelona has established itself as a key destination for companies, expatriates, athletes, doctors, researchers, medical treatment patients, master's students and is even the preferred destination for hundreds of digital nomads who have decided to settle in a multicultural place with a privileged climate and low prices compared to the rest of Europe. 

In this line, aTemporal Monthly Rentals and under the slogan ‘Your home away from home’', has focused its offer on fully furnished, equipped, centrally located flats, with competitive prices, meeting the needs of different customer profiles and becoming the landing strip for many of them.

During the first half of the year, the firm has grown exponentially, despite having faced a major challenge with the implementation of the now repealed decree law affecting temporary rentals proposed by the last outgoing government of Catalonia.
‘Today, we have more than 720 apartments in the main neighbourhoods of Barcelona and as part of our business expansion plan, we plan to increase our portfolio in the main neighbourhoods of Madrid by 2025,‘’ says Quico Marín, CEO of the firm.

They have also managed to consolidate their position as one of the leading agencies in the seasonal rental sector. ‘This successful result reflects the excellent attitude, motivation and optimism that the whole team acquired in times of adversity, managing to turn the situation around and focusing mainly on opportunities,‘’ says Nacho Martínez Fortún-Mas, CEO of aTemporal.

On the other hand, the firm is immersed in an important digitalisation process, with the implementation of new software tools, which will allow them to make an important qualitative leap, automating all internal processes. ‘This marks our route at a technological level, to be able to start using new mechanisms that streamline our management and allow us to devote more time to customer service and reduce the administrative part,‘’ emphasises Nacho.

For the coming months, the firm's directors are optimistic about the regulation of the sector, given that the result of the latest reform of the law on long-stay housing has led to a massive drain in the supply of flats from the rental sector to the seasonal rental sector. ‘This is not good for anyone. On the one hand, citizens and residents have almost no supply of conventional rental flats, and we are seeing new players and intruders in the sector who have no experience in seasonal renting. This translates into poor property management and a low quality of service‘’, says Quico.
